Youth Empowerment Program
We are dedicated to elevating our community’s youth and young adults so that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to hold themselves accountable as stewards of the environment and the people of our community. By providing guidance, resources, and support to the younger generation, we are sowing the seeds for a brighter, more prosperous tomorrow for all.
As a Youth Lead you will learn:
Leadership Development - strategizing collaborative program objectives for the 2024-2025 project year.
Project Planning - determine the best action to integrate project activities and events for each objective and increase community participation and successful project outcomes.
Assist with peer-to-peer volunteer recruitment and outreach opportunities.
Project Execution - assist in executing project initiatives through events and activities.
Requirements:
Time commitment - occasional weekdays (evenings), primarily weekends for events/ event preparation.
Attend in-person or online project planning meetings and team meetings on weekdays and/or weekends.
Assist with event preparation by assembling packs, attending preparation meetings, and assigning project tasks.
Guide Level 1 Youth Leaders in training during event preparation and events.
